It has a molecular weight of 154.2 g/mol and consists of a carbonyl group, two amine groups, and one ether linkage. The compound class of N-ethylmorpholine is organic acid. This chemical has been shown to be effective at removing organic acids from wastewater by absorbing them. N-Ethylmorpholine can be used to remove these compounds through absorption after they have been transformed into their n-oxide form.
