3-chloro-6-[2-(2-fluorophenyl)-5H-imidazo[4,5-c]pyridin-5-ylmethyl]pyridazine is an inhibitor of receptor tyrosine kinases. It inhibits the activity of tyrosine kinase and prevents it from binding to the receptor on the surface of cells. This drug has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation in a number of cancer models. 3-chloro-6-[2-(2-fluorophenyl)-5H-imidazo[4,5-c]pyridin-5-ylmethyl]pyridazine has also been shown to be effective in treating ophthalmoplegic migraine (a form of migraine with temporary paralysis) and chronic migraines. In addition, this drug is a potent inhibitor of 6 membered ring hydroxylases, which produce prostaglandins and leukotrienes.
