It inhibits the activity of tyrosine kinase and prevents it from binding to the receptor on the surface of cells. This drug has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation in a number of cancer models. 3-chloro-6-[2-(2-fluorophenyl)-5H-imidazo[4,5-c]pyridin-5-ylmethyl]pyridazine has also been shown to be effective in treating ophthalmoplegic migraine (a form of migraine with temporary paralysis) and chronic migraines.
