(2E)-1-(1,5-Dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-3-(dimethylamino)prop-2-en-1-one is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that belongs to the group of p2 inhibitors. It has been shown to inhibit COX 2 and IL 1β with significant cytotoxicity in mouse tumor models. This compound also inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines IL 10 and TNFα. (2E)-1-(1,5-Dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-3-(dimethylamino)prop-2 -en 1 one is an active analogue of indomethacin. In addition, it has been reported to have inhibitory properties against MMP9 activity in vitro.
