    Ethyl [5-cyclopropyl-3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl]acetate is a drug that inhibits the activity of fatty acid synthase (FAS) in the cytoplasm. FAS catalyzes the synthesis of fatty acids from acetyl coenzyme A and malonyl coenzyme A. This drug has been shown to have therapeutic effects for women with polycystic ovary syndrome. It also reduces cardiovascular diseases, by lowering blood pressure and lipid levels, which may be due to its ability to modulate the activity of insulin receptors and c1-4 alkyl receptors.
