CAS:2-Amino-5-formylthiazole is a dyebath that is used as an electron acceptor in dyeing. It is also a formyl donor and can be used to suppress the formation of nitro groups. 2-Amino-5-formylthiazole has been shown to have antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria. The methylene group on this dyebath reacts with the halogens, which results in the release of acid and the formation of a new carbon-halogen bond. This reaction is reversible, which provides an opportunity for the recovery of 2-amino-5-formylthiazole from waste water streams.Formula:C4H4N2OSPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:128.15 g/molRef: 3D-FA147349
