CAS:Calcium chloride dihydrate is widely used as an ingredient in ceramic slipware, cosmetic and food items. It acts as a pH buffer in swimming pool water. It provides inhibition of swelling clays in the water phase of invert emulsion drilling fluids. It is employed in the oil industry to increase the density of solids-free brines. It is used as a flux in the Davy process for the manufacture of sodium through the electrolysis of molten sodium chloride. It finds an important application as an additive in plastics, fire extinguishers, blast furnaces and in wastewater treatment as a drainage aid. CAS:Calcium chloride dihydrate is a white crystalline solid that is soluble in water. It is used as a desiccant, a fluxing agent, and an additive to agricultural fertilizers. Calcium chloride dihydrate has the ability to exist in three different forms: the monoclinic form (I), the rhombohedral form (II), and the orthorhombic form (III). The polymorphism of calcium chloride dihydrate changes with temperature and pressure. The change in polymorphism can be used to determine how these parameters have changed over time. Laboratory experiments have shown that calcium chloride dihydrate can also exist as an isotopic mixture of two different forms: one with a higher percentage of heavier carbon-13 isotopes and another with a higher percentage of lighter oxygen-18 isotopes. These two isotopic forms are not in equilibrium due to disequilibrium between them.Formula:CaCl2·2H2OPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:White Clear LiquidMolecular weight:147.01 g/molRef: 3D-FC164676

CAS:Calcium chloride dihydrate is a chemical compound that is used in the preparation of buffers, as well as in polymer synthesis and analytical chemistry. It is also used in the treatment of low blood calcium levels, which may occur from chronic kidney failure, malnutrition or malabsorption. Calcium chloride dihydrate has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of various cancer cells, including prostate cancer cells. This inhibition has been shown to be due to its ability to significantly cytotoxic effects on these cells. The cytotoxicity was found to be due to lysosomal membrane permeabilization and Ca2+ influx into the cell leading to apoptosis induction.Formula:CaCl2•(H2O)2Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:White Clear LiquidMolecular weight:147.01 g/molCalcium chloride dihydrate, 99+%, ACS reagent
