CAS:4-Bromo-2-methoxypyridine is a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) antagonist. It binds to the nAChR and blocks the binding of acetylcholine, leading to a decrease in the amount of acetylcholine released from nerve endings. 4-Bromo-2-methoxypyridine has been shown to have affinity for nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and profiles that are similar to nicotine, but with less potent antagonistic effects. The drug is being studied as a potential treatment for Parkinson's disease and other conditions involving decreased levels of acetylcholine in the brain.Formula:C6H6BrNOPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:188.02 g/molRef: 3D-FB16375
