CAS:4-Nitropyridine-3-carboxylic acid (4NPCA) is a benzene derivative with imino and pyridinium functional groups. It has been used in the synthesis of a number of compounds, such as pyridine and quaternized 4NPCA. The compound does not have any known use as an antibacterial agent and has not been found to be mutagenic or carcinogenic in animal studies. 4NPCA reacts with sodium methanethiolate to form the corresponding amine, which can then be reduced by a variety of reducing agents to form the corresponding amine. The optimal reaction conditions for this reaction are nitro, chloride, or cataleptic reagents. 4NPCA also undergoes dehydration reactions with various nucleophiles to produce the corresponding benzene derivatives.Formula:C6H4N2O4Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:168.11 g/molRef: 3D-AEA36758
