CAS:Rhodium(III) chloride is a chemical compound that is used as an oxidation catalyst, ligand in coordination chemistry, and a light emitter. The thermal expansion of Rhodium(III) chloride is 0.0003 cm·m·K at 25 °C. It has a hydrated form due to the presence of water molecules in the lattice. Rhodium(III) chloride reacts with methyl ethyl disulfide to form the rhodium ion and a sulfide complex. Rhodium(III) chloride is also used as an immunosuppressant drug for the treatment of autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis.
