Loratadine-d5 is a stable isotope labelled analog of the antihistamine Loratadine. It is used for process efficiency, analytical method development and validation, and bioanalytical method development and validation. Loratadine-d5 has been shown to be an effective drug for the treatment of hay fever, allergic rhinitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria and asthma in children. The pharmacokinetics of Loratadine-d5 have been studied in rats. In this study, it was found that there was no significant difference between the plasma concentration of Loratadine-d5 and that of loratidine at all time points following administration.
