Methyl cinnamate
CAS:Methyl cinnamate is a plant-derived compound that has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against Candida glabrata. This compound inhibits the polymerase chain reaction by binding to the DNA monomer and blocking its synthesis. Methyl cinnamate also synergizes with eugenol, which is a natural product found in cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon. The mechanism of this synergy has not yet been identified. Methyl cinnamate has been shown to inhibit 3T3-L1 preadipocytes proliferation by downregulating the expression of PPARγ, which is a transcription factor that regulates adipogenesis.Formula:C10H10O2Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:Solidified MassMolecular weight:162.19 g/molMethyl cinnamate, predominantly trans, 99%
CAS:Methyl cinnamate was used to inhibit monophenolase and diphenolase activity of mushroom tyrosinase and it also has antimicrobial ability. It is mainly is used in the flavor and perfume industries. It is known to attract males of various orchid bees, such as Aglae caerulea.
