1H-Indole-2,6-dicarboxylic acid
CAS:1H-Indole-2,6-dicarboxylic acid (1HIDCA) is a dicarboxylic acid that is the analogue of indole-2-carboxylic acid. It has been shown to bind to DNA and inhibit the transcription of genes involved in cell division. Analogues of 1HIDCA have also been synthesized, including analogs with amino acids as linkers. These analogues have been shown to bind to DNA and inhibit transcription, but they also have different properties than 1HIDCA, such as being more hydrophilic or having a higher binding affinity for DNA. Molecular modeling has shown that 1HIDCA binds to two adjacent deoxyribose units in dna and inhibits the synthesis of proteins.Formula:C10H7NO4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:205.17 g/mol
