CAS 10341-26-1: 1,4-Oxazepan-5-one

1,4-Oxazepan-5-one is an organic compound that contains a sulfur atom and a β-unsaturated ketone group. It has been shown to react with diamines in the presence of acid catalysts to produce oxazepines. The reaction also yields two equivalents of hydrogen chloride as a byproduct. Oxazepines can be converted into oxadiazepines or benzothiazepines.
