  • 4,4'-Diaminooctafluorobiphenyl

    CAS:
4,4'-Diaminooctafluorobiphenyl (DAF) is a fluorescent organic compound with a trifluoromethyl group in the para position. It is soluble in organic solvents and has an average particle diameter of 5 nm. DAF reacts with other functional groups such as amino and hydroxyl groups to form reaction products. The color of these products depends on the number of reactive groups present. DAF can be used as a chromophore for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). DAF also absorbs ultraviolet radiation but emits fluorescence at longer wavelengths. This property makes it suitable for use in imaging applications such as photodynamic therapy, where it can be targeted to specific tissues or cells by conjugation to antibodies or other molecules.
