CAS:2'-Deoxy-2',2'-difluoroguanosine (DFG) is an analog of guanosine that has been used to study the effect of guanylate kinase on cellular proliferation. This compound has also been shown to have a cytotoxic effect on leukemia cells. DFG has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and induce apoptosis in HL-60 leukemia cells. It has also been shown to inhibit the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and proteins.
