Antimony(III) ethoxide
CAS:Antimony(III) ethoxide is a chemical compound with the formula SbOCH3. The compound is a white solid that is soluble in organic solvents and reacts with water to form antimony trioxide and hydrogen peroxide. It is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of hydroxamic acids, salicylic acid, and other organic compounds. The compound has been shown to react with copper oxide for the control of copper contamination in drinking water by using a hydroxamic acid catalyst.
