CAS 10596-21-1: bromomethylenebis(phosphonic acid)

Bromomethylenediphosphonic acid, 90% is a non-coordinating ionic liquid that is used as an organic solvent. This product has been shown to be biologically active and inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to their cell wall. Bromomethylenediphosphonic acid, 90% has been used to synthesize a number of organophosphorus compounds, including esters and diphosphonates. The synthesis of these compounds requires the use of elemental analysis and elemental chemistry.
