1,3-Diphenylpropan-1-one is a natural compound that is found in plants. It has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. 1,3-Diphenylpropan-1-one has been shown to have antioxidant properties by reacting with free radicals. This reaction can be used to prevent oxidative injury in humans. The molecular docking analysis of 1,3-diphenylpropan-1-one showed that it may have anticancer potential due to its ability to bind to the DNA and inhibit cell growth. The antioxidative properties of this compound are most likely due to the presence of phenolic groups or the quinoid structures that are formed during its synthesis.
