CAS:N,N,N',N'-Tetramethyl-1,6-hexanediamine is a cross-linking agent that is used in the production of polyurethane. It is an oligomer of hexanediamine and has ester linkages between two amine groups and a fatty acid chain. This compound has been shown to be an effective viscosity booster for polyurethanes at concentrations of 1% or more. The viscosity increases linearly with concentration up to about 10%. N,N,N',N'-Tetramethyl-1,6-hexanediamine has also been shown to be chemically stable at high temperatures and low pH levels.
