Temocapril
CAS:Temocapril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor that blocks the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II. It has been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of atherosclerotic lesions, as it inhibits the progression of these lesions by inhibiting receptor activity and enzyme activities. Temocapril also increases the blood flow to the kidneys, preventing tubulointerstitial injury. This drug has been shown to be effective in combination therapy with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for experimental models of acute renal failure. The amount of temocapril required for a therapeutic effect is dependent on the time after administration and concentration in plasma.
