CAS:Heptyl Acetate is a chemical substance with the molecular formula CH3(CH2)5CO2H. It has a piperidinecarboxylic acid group on its chain, which is an alkyl alkyl group. Heptyl acetate has been shown to inhibit the growth of human pathogens and bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), by binding to fatty acids in their cell membranes. The hydroxide solution used in this experiment was prepared by mixing sodium hydroxide and distilled water. This chemical compound also has high chemical stability and does not react with polymeric matrices such as polypropylene or polyethylene. Heptyl acetate inhibits the growth of wild-type strains of Escherichia coli, but not homologous strains that have been genetically modified to lack the gene for fatty acid synthesis.Formula:C9H18O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:158.24 g/mol
