2,3,4,5-Tetrachloro-6-(trichloromethyl)-pyridine
CAS:Tetrachloro-6-(trichloromethyl)pyridine is a chlorine-containing compound that is a byproduct of the production of chlorofluorocarbons. It is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other compounds. Tetrachloro-6-(trichloromethyl)pyridine has shown anti-tumor activity against mammary carcinomas, leukemias, and ovarian tumors. This chemical also has been found to be mutagenic with nucleophilic substitution at the pyridine ring. The isomers can be separated using chromatography or gas chromatography.
