Bis(4-hexyloxy)phenyl)amine is a photocurrent generating sensitizer that is used in solar cells. The efficiency of the photovoltaic device is determined by the concentration and type of sensitizer, as well as the wavelength of light. Bis(4-hexyloxy)phenyl)amine has been shown to be a very efficient sensitizer for organic solar cells with a high quantum yield.
