3,3,5-Trimethylcyclohexanol
CAS:3,3,5-Trimethylcyclohexanol is a triacylglycerol that is found in the lipid portion of natural fats and oils. It has antimicrobial properties and can be used as a dietary supplement to control agents. 3,3,5-Trimethylcyclohexanol has been shown to inhibit cholesterol synthesis by inhibiting the enzyme cholesterol acyltransferase. This compound also inhibits the production of fatty acids in human macrophages. These effects are due to the reactive nature of 3,3,5-Trimethylcyclohexanol and its ability to bind with hydroxyl groups on the enzyme’s active site. 3,3,5-Trimethylcyclohexanol also inhibits zirconium oxide induced oxidative stress in human macrophages by binding with reactive oxygen species and preventing their interaction with lipids.Formula:C9H18OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:142.24 g/molRef: 3D-FT33308
