CAS:2-Aminothiazole-4-carboxamide is a drug that was synthesized in an effort to find a new, more effective tuberculosis drug. It is a substructure of the molecule, 2-amino-5-(1,3-thiazol-2-yl)benzamide. The profile of this drug has been determined by assays that measure its ability to inhibit the growth of bacteria and to act as an antihelminthic agent. This compound has also been shown to be nonselective for cations, so it may interact with other substances in the body. 2-Aminothiazole-4-carboxamide has been shown to inhibit acetylcholine release from activated rat brain synaptosomes and block the electrical activity of cho-k1 cells. It may also have cancer and virus inhibiting properties due to its ability to affect cell division.Purity:Min. 95%Ref: 3D-FA142948
