  • Nifedipine-d6

    CAS:
    Nifedipine-d6 is a radiolabeled form of nifedipine, which is a calcium channel blocker. Nifedipine-d6 binds to the L-type calcium channels and blocks the influx of Ca2+ ions into cardiomyocytes. This prevents an overload of Ca2+ ions and reduces the risk of arrhythmias and cardiac contractile dysfunction. Nifedipine-d6 has been shown to improve outcomes in rat cardiomyocyte cultures subjected to ischemia/reperfusion injury. It also has a pharmacokinetic profile similar to that of metformin hydrochloride, with an elimination half-life of 3 hours after administration.
