CAS:The main use of potassium chloride is in the manufacture of fertilizers. It finds use in medicine as an electrolyte replenisher, and to treat hypokalemia with its pharmaceutical preparation, a condition in which the level of potassium will be low in blood. Further it finds use as a flux agent in welding and metal casting. It is useful in water softener units, certain de-icing products and calibration of the radiation monitoring equipment. It finds use as a scotophor in dark-trace CRTs.This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. CAS:Lithium oxide is a compound that has a thermal expansion coefficient of about 9.2x10^-6 K-1 at 20 °C. The optimum concentration for lithium oxide is between 1 and 2% (by weight) in the hydrate form, which corresponds to a water content of about 8%. Lithium oxide can be found in nature as an oxide or as a mineral called lepidocrocite. It can also be prepared by heating phosphorus pentoxide with water vapor, producing lithium hydroxide and phosphorus pentoxide. Lithium oxide has been shown to inhibit enzyme activities such as phosphofructokinase, glycolysis, and pyruvate kinase. In addition, it has been shown to have high electrochemical impedance and transport properties. Lithium oxide has been used in lasers for ablation due to its high melting point and light emission properties.Formula:Li2OPurity:Min. 98%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:29.88 g/molRef: 3D-FL54595
