4-[(Diethylamino)sulfonyl]benzoic acid
CAS:4-[(Diethylamino)sulfonyl]benzoic acid (DEASBA) is a diagnostic agent, which is used to identify cancer cells. This drug is often used as an imaging agent for the detection of solid tumours and inflammatory diseases. DEASBA binds to fatty acids, such as tyrosine, preventing their oxidation by tyrosinase and inhibiting the synthesis of melanin. This may lead to a decrease in the size of the tumor or other disease that has been detected. The clinical response was observed in patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease who were treated with sodium citrate, a molecule that alters the pH of stool and promotes colonic absorption of DEASBA.Formula:C11H15NO4SPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:257.31 g/molEtebenecid
