Ammonium sulfide, 40-44% w/w aq. soln.
CAS:Ammonium sulfide solution is used occasionally in photographic developing, to apply patina to bronze, and in textile manufacturing. Ammonium sulfide is a very useful reagent in mineral analysis. Used in continuous culture of saccharomyces cerevisiae, useful in a double staining technique for visualization of astrocytes and microglia from brain sections and astroglial cell cultures. It plays an important role to modify the surface of low κ dielectric thin films. It is essential for molecular beam epitaxy regrowth. It is an unstable salt and acts as a selective reducing agent. CAS:Controlled ProductApplications Ammonium sulfide is a very useful reagent in various aspects ranging from large scale production of textile manufacture, trace metal analysis, patina to bronze, and as well as cell culture and organic reactions/synthesis. Recently it has been used as a cleaning solution in the study of semiconductor growth on indium phosphide with various metals. Not a dangerous good if item is equal to or less than 1g/ml and there is less than 100g/ml in the package References Ferrandis, P., et al.: J. Appl. CAS:Ammonium sulfide is a chemical compound with the formula NH4HS. It is a colorless solid that dissolves in water to give a solution of ammonium sulfide (NH4+S) at 20%. Ammonium sulfide is used as an intermediate in the production of other chemicals, such as sulfuric acid and thiourea. Ammonium sulfide has been shown to be cytotoxic and inhibit oxygen transport in the nasal respiratory epithelium. It also inhibits leukocyte chemotaxis by affecting cell membrane permeability and protein synthesis. In addition, ammonium sulfide can cause morphological changes in snakehead fish larvae by binding to phosphatase enzymes, which may lead to inhibition of enzyme activity. Ammonium sulfide is also able to inhibit growth of bacteria and fungi by means of its reaction with the amino acids methionine and cysteine, forming ammonium salts. This reaction prevents their conversion into proteins, leading to inhibitionFormula:(NH4)2SPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:68.14 g/molAmmonium sulfide - 40% in water
CAS:Ammonium sulfide is a chemical compound that is used as a reagent in histology to stain for acid phosphatase. Ammonium sulfide can be used in the staining of cell nuclei and cytoplasm, specifically by binding with phosphate groups on the surface of cells. A micrometer-sized solution of ammonium sulfide has been shown to increase oxygen transport in leukocytes, which may be due to its ability to release oxygen from hemoglobin. Both snakehead and goldfish have been shown to have increased activity of acid phosphatase in response to ammonium sulfide exposure. This may be due to the potential mechanism of action where ammonium ions are released as an intermediate product that may then bind with phosphate groups on the surface of cells.Formula:H8N2SPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:68.14 g/mol
