Fenitrothion
CAS:Fenitrothion is a neurotoxic organophosphate insecticide that has been widely used in agriculture. It is toxic to humans and animals, causing headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and respiratory distress. Fenitrothion has been shown to cause locomotor activity changes in rats. The matrix effect of this chemical has also been studied and found to be high resistance when compared with other organophosphates. Toxicological studies on fenitrothion have shown that it is toxic to the liver and kidneys as well as having biochemical composition that may lead to metabolic disorders. The toxicity of fenitrothion has also been studied using an in vitro assay in which it was found that the compound inhibits acetylcholinesterase (AChE) enzyme activities. Fenitrothion can be analyzed using dispersive solid-phase extraction (DSPE), which involves extracting the chemical from a solid matrix by adsorption on silica particles followed by elFormula:C9H12NO5PSPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:Buff To Dark BrownMolecular weight:277.24 g/molGC PestiMix 2 10 µg/mL in Isooctane:Toluene (50:50)

CAS:Fenitrothion is a carbamate insecticide that is used to control insects and mites. Fenitrothion has been shown to have significant effects on the ryanodine receptor, an intracellular calcium ion channel that regulates the release of calcium from sarcoplasmic reticulum in muscle cells. This inhibition causes muscle paralysis and death. Fenitrothion also inhibits the activities of enzymes involved in energy metabolism, including ATPase, phosphofructokinase, malate dehydrogenase, and pyruvate kinase. Fenitrothion is toxic to arthropods such as mosquitoes, cockroaches, and moths. It is also highly toxic to mammals such as dogs and rabbits. The LD50 for fenitrothion in rats was found to be 11 mg/kg body weight when administered orally. Fenitrothion has been shown to be less toxic than other carbamates such as methomyl or carbofuran when testedFormula:C9H12NO5PSPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:277.24 g/molFenitrothion
