Dimethyl N,N-diisopropylphosphoramidite is a phosphoramidite compound that is used to synthesize peptides. Dimethyl N,N-diisopropylphosphoramidite can be used to synthesize hydrophobic sequences, as well as sequences with functional groups such as hydroxyl or amine. It has been shown that the dimethyl phosphoramidite group protects the free radical of tetrazole in the synthesis of tetrazolide. Dimethyl N,N-diisopropylphosphoramidite is also an anion and a molecule. This compound has been commercialized for use in coatings and contraceptives.
