CAS:Paederosidic acid methyl ester is a pentacyclic triterpenoid that acts as an enzyme inhibitor. It inhibits the activity of deacetyl asperulosidic acid, which is involved in eluting and plate tests. Paederosidic acid methyl ester also has antiinflammatory activity, and can be used as a dietary supplement to treat arthritis. The compound has been shown to have no effect on rotarod performance or pentobarbital-induced sleep time in mice.
