Hesperetin 7-O-b-D-glucuronide is a flavonoid glucuronide that is found in the flowers of the Chrysanthemum morifolium and Scutellaria procumbens plants. Hesperidin 7-O-b-D-glucuronide has been shown to have antioxidant activity in diabetic patients, as well as radical scavenging activities. The antioxidant activity may be due to its ability to inhibit lipid peroxidation and quench radicals, including superoxide anions and hydroxyl radicals. Hesperidin 7-O-b-D-glucuronide also has antiinflammatory properties, which may be due to its inhibitory effect on phospholipase A2 (PLA2) and cyclooxygenase (COX).
