CAS:3,5-Di(1-pyrenyl)pyridine is a compound that has been shown to be efficient in electrochemical devices. It is used in simulations of the exciton recombination process and in devices with quantum efficiencies near 100%. 3,5-Di(1-pyrenyl)pyridine can be used for light emission in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) and electroluminescence. The molecule has been found to emit blue light when excited by an electron beam or by visible laser radiation. 3,5-Di(1-pyrenyl)pyridine was also found to be an active ingredient in a reaction between 1,3-diphenylpropenone and phenyllithium. This coupling reaction yields a single crystal of 3,5-(di-(4'-carbomethoxystyryl)) pyridine with x-ray diffraction data matching the C2/c space group.Formula:C37H21NPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:479.58 g/mol
