CAS:Bis(cyclopentadienyl)cobalt(II) is a chemical compound with the formula Co(CH) (Cp*Co). It is a redox-active metal complex that has been used as an analytical reagent. It has been shown to be stable in air and hydrochloric acid, but not in trifluoroacetic acid or water. In the presence of nitrogen atoms, it undergoes oxidation at its Co atom, and reduction at the Cp*Co center. The oxidation potential of bis(cyclopentadienyl)cobalt(II) can be measured by cyclic voltammetry on a mercury electrode. The reaction of bis(cyclopentadienyl)cobalt(II) with hydrochloric acid is an example of a suzuki coupling reaction. Bis(cyclopentadienyl)cobalt(II) has also been used as a catalyst for the synthesis of polymers from monomersFormula:C10H10CoPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:189.12 g/molBis(cyclopentadienyl)cobalt(II), min. 98% (Cobaltocene)

CAS:Cobaltocene is used to catalyze the preparation of pyridines from nitriles and alkynes. It is also used as an oxygen stripping agent and as a paint drier.Formula:C10H10CoColor and Shape:1992)Molecular weight:189.12Bis(cyclopentadienyl)cobalt
CAS:Bis(cyclopentadienyl)cobalt is used to catalyze the preparation of pyridines from alkynes and nitriles. It acts as a polymerization inhibitor of olefins. It is a common one-electron reducing agent in the laboratory. It reacts with carbon monoxide to prepare cobalt(I) derivative, cyclopentadienylcobalt dicarbonyl. It also serves as an internal standard in cyclic voltametry. Further, it finds use in Diels-Alder reactions. In addition to this, it is used as a paint drier and as an oxygen stripping agent.
