1-Phenyl-3-pyrrolidinone
CAS:1-Phenyl-3-pyrrolidinone (1PP) is a cytotoxic agent that inhibits the growth of tumor cells. It has been shown to have activity against leukemia, lymphocytic leukemia, and human colon adenocarcinoma cells. The 1PP binds to the phenyl ring and interacts with DNA in a manner similar to adriamycin. This binding blocks DNA synthesis, leading to cell death by apoptosis. 1PP is resistant to leucovorin, which is an antagonist of adriamycin and other chemotherapeutic agents. In vitro studies have shown that 1PP exhibits cytotoxicity against promyelocytic leukemia Hl-60 cells and Molt-4 cells.Formula:C10H11NOPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:161.2 g/mol1-Phenyl-3-pyrrolidinone

CAS:Controlled ProductApplications 1-Phenyl-3-pyrrolidinone-d5 is the isotope labelled analog of 1-Phenyl-3-pyrrolidinone (P336730); a reagent used in the synthesis of a series of non-classical antifolates which were evaluated for their in vitro cytotoxicity. Also used in the preparation of azetidine- and pyrrolidine-containing alkynes as mGluR5 regulators. References Huang, Y., et al.: Bioorg. Med. Chem., 11, 145 (2003); Chen, L., et al.: PCT Int. Appl.
