CAS:Temsavir is an antiretroviral drug that belongs to the class of piperazine. It is a prodrug that is converted by liver enzymes into its active form, 1-Boc-3,5-dimethyl-piperazine (1-BDMP). Temsavir has shown long-term clinical benefits in HIV patients and it has been approved for use in combination with other antiretroviral drugs. Temsavir inhibits the activity of reverse transcriptase, which is an enzyme needed for HIV replication. Temsavir also inhibits the activity of human liver microsomes. Studies have shown that temsavir can be effective against different chemotypes of HIV such as MDR or XDR strains.Formula:C11H22N2O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:214.3 g/mol
