CAS:Dipropyl phthalate is an organic compound that is used as a plasticizer and solvent. It has been shown to be toxic to phagocytic cells, such as hemocytes, through the use of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The cytotoxicity of this compound is due to the disruption of membrane structure and function. Dipropyl phthalate also has been shown to cause cell death in bacteria through the inhibition of protein synthesis in bacteria. Dipropyl phthalate has an effect on physiological functions, such as hydrolases and hydrogen fluoride production, which are necessary for bacterial growth. The toxicity of dipropyl phthalate can be increased by hydrogen fluoride (HF) exposure because HF enhances the release of reactive oxygen species from this compound.Formula:C14H18O4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:250.29 g/molRef: 3D-FD03384
