N-3-Indolylacetyl)glycine is a plant hormone that is used in tissue culture as a root formation agent and for sample preparation. It is also used in plant physiology, including regulation of the apical dominance and growth. N-3-Indolylacetyl)glycine has been shown to have regulatory effects on cell cultures, including metabolic profiles and ph optimum. The compound has been shown to inhibit the uptake of taxol by cells in vitro.
