2-Methyldec-1-ene
CAS:2-Methyldec-1-ene is an alkene that is found in nature and has been shown to have a variety of uses. It is used as a solvent, paint thinner, and degreaser. 2-Methyldec-1-ene can be used to enhance cross-coupling reactions by acting as a substrate for the reaction. It also has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties through the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. The natural compound α-pinene reacts with verticillium in vitro to produce 2-methyldec-1-ene at a rate that is dependent on the concentration of α-pinene. 2-Methyldec-1-ene inhibits mitochondrial electron transport chain and prevents ATP production, which leads to cell death.Formula:C11H22Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:154.29 g/mol
