CAS:2,4-Dichloro-6-methyl-5-nitropyrimidine (DMNP) is an antibacterial agent that has significant antioxidant activity. It inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to the amine group on the ribosomal RNA of staphylococci and other Gram-positive bacteria. DMNP also binds to aminobenzyl alcohol, which is a precursor for the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. This drug also has been shown to inhibit cell growth in vitro and in vivo. The inhibition of cell growth may be due to DMNP's ability to inhibit chloride ion uptake by cells.Formula:C5H3Cl2N3O2Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:Beige To Yellow To Brown SolidMolecular weight:208 g/molRef: 3D-FD09670
