1-(2-Methoxypyridin-3-yl)ethanone
CAS:1-(2-Methoxypyridin-3-yl)ethanone is a structural analog of 2-chloropyridine. It has the same stereochemistry as 2-chloropyridine and can be synthesized from it by metallation, oxidation, or acridone synthesis. 1-(2-Methoxypyridin-3-yl)ethanone can be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of coumarins and acridones. It is also used to produce enantiomerically pure (S)-1-(2-methoxypyridin-3-yl)propanol.
