4-Bromo-2,5-dimethoxytoluene

This product can be synthesized by two methods: an oxidation reaction with hydrogen peroxide and hydrochloric acid or a stereospecific synthesis from 2,5-dimethoxybenzaldehyde. The color of 4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxytoluene ranges from colorless to pale yellow.
