Taminadenant is a novel, non-dopaminergic drug that has been shown to reduce the severity of dyskinesia in patients with Parkinson's disease. It also inhibits tumor growth and induces antitumor responses in animal models. Taminadenant binds to adenosine receptors and blocks their function. Taminadenant may have a safety profile similar to other drugs that act on the adenosine receptor and it has been shown to be safe for use in humans. Clinical development of taminadenant is ongoing.
