CAS:Mecobalamin is a form of vitamin B12 that is used to treat bowel disease. It binds to the target enzymes methionine synthase and cystathionine beta-synthase, which are involved in the synthesis of methionine and cysteine respectively. Mecobalamin has been shown to be effective in treating Crohn's disease when given as a low-dose therapy. Mecobalamin also has demonstrated therapeutic effects in ulcerative colitis, but had no effect on patients with non-ulcerative colitis. Mecobalamin was well tolerated at the doses tested and did not produce any significant changes in blood cell counts or liver enzyme activities. Mecobalamin is not absorbed orally, so it is given by injection or intravenously. The drug can be injected subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intravenously.Formula:C63H91CoN13O14PPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:Red PowderMolecular weight:1,344.38 g/molVitamin B12a (B12 Analog) ExiPlus, Multi-Compendial, 98%-102%
