CAS:Disodium glutarate is a sodium salt of citric acid. It is used as a chelating agent, detergent builder, and sequestrant in laundry products. Disodium glutarate is also used in the production of polyvinyl chloride resins and metal carbonyl complexes. The complexing action of disodium glutarate on metals such as copper, nickel, zinc, and lead results in the formation of insoluble metal compounds. Disodium glutarate is also known to react with carboxylic acids to form esters that are soluble in water.Formula:C5H6O4·2NaPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:176.08 g/mol
