    3-Bromo-6-chloroimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine is a modification of the pyridazine ring, which is a hydrophobic drug target. It binds to amines and activated aryl boronic acids and has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth in vitro and in vivo. 3-Bromo-6-chloroimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of the protein kinase PIM-1 in leukemias and lymphomas. This drug has also been shown to be active against other kinases such as PKC and JAK2. The synthetic strategies for this molecule have been successfully developed, including the synthesis of 3-bromo-6-chloroimidazo[1,2-b]pyridine with various substituents on the aromatic ring.
