CAS:Thulium chloride is a fluorescent compound that is used in the diagnosis of cancer. It is also used to treat cancer, including prostate cancer, by enhancing the uptake of chemotherapeutic drugs. Thulium(III) chloride can be used as a reactive probe for analytical methods such as nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry. This compound is conjugated with fatty acids to form liposomes, which are then injected into mice with tumors. The liposomes accumulate in the tumor cells and induce cell apoptosis.Formula:TmCl3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:275.29 g/mol
