2,3-Dimethylsuccinic acid
CAS:2,3-Dimethylsuccinic acid is a carboxylic acid that is produced by the esterification of malonic acid and succinic acid. It is used in detergent compositions to provide hardness and stability. 2,3-Dimethylsuccinic acid has been found to be a suitable substrate for the production of monoclonal antibodies by hybridoma cells. The glycol ethers inhibit the hydrolysis of 2,3-dimethylsuccinic acid to succinic acid, which facilitates the production of high purity monoclonal antibodies. This carboxylic acid also exhibits transport properties due to its lipophilic nature. 2,3-Dimethylsuccinic acid reacts with metal carbonyls such as iron pentacarbonyl or cobalt octacarbonyl in aqueous solution to form ethylmalonic or polymaleic acids respectively.Formula:C6H10O4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:146.14 g/mol2,3-DIMETHYLSUCCINIC ACID
