CAS:2-Methoxy-4-nitrobenzyl alcohol is a potential drug for the treatment of solid tumours. 2-Methoxy-4-nitrobenzyl alcohol has been shown to be metabolized by nitroreductase, which converts the compound into a potent cytotoxic agent that inhibits protein synthesis. This drug also exhibits bioreductive properties and can be used to mediate transfection with DNA in cells. The effects of this drug have been analysed in mouse fibrosarcoma cells (SKOV3) and it has been shown that this compound is more toxic than cisplatin.Formula:C8H9NO4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:183.16 g/molRef: 3D-FM53973
